March’s contest theme: “Power”

Photos due in by March 7th. Email photos directly to me. Voting starts March 8th.

Entries limited to 2, both of which must have been taken FOR the contest, vs. something you had on hand.

Contest Corner

Contest Rules:

 

Photos must be in by the 7^th of each month. Email photos to shackenmuer@yahoo.com, or my personal email address if you have it.

 

An email will be sent out to everyone in my address book on the 8^th, inviting people to visit the site and to send me their vote via email.  All votes will need to be in by the 15^th. The winner will be announced on the 16^th and will be recognized on the site. The winner gets to choose the next contest theme and has 3 days to let me know, by the 19^th. Otherwise I will choose the next month’s theme, for the sake of giving other photographers time to take pictures.

 

VOTING: Voting is done during voting week by choosing three of your favorites and putting them in order of importance. (Ex. “Birds” 1st choice, “Rocks” 2nd, “Water” 3rd). Then email them to me. There are no voting capabilities available on the gallery itself. Votes are tallied by myself and Dawn Czech-Webster of Maine.

 

All photos will be posted to the gallery as ‘anonymous’ during the voting period, in hopes that photos will be voted on by merit, and not by friendship. Photo acknowledgement will be added once the votes are counted.

 

For anyone needing ideas for themes, here are several ideas to choose from or build off of: close-ups, love, family, youth, adventure, simplicity, motion/action, serenity, seasonal, spiritual, etc.

Can I submit more than one photo? Yes. See rules for details

If I am an entrant, can I vote?  Yes, just not for your own.
